Lip augmentation
The augmentation (lip augmentation) treatment consists in increasing the volume of the lips by injection with hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is used for aesthetic purposes to increase the volume of facial tissue. What is the consultation?
In order to help the patient understand the complete procedure and the healing phases, Aesthetica recommends conducting a consultation in which the pill will complete a health record and will be provided with all the details of his or her specific case because each individual has unique characteristics that the doctor you will need to keep in mind during treatment.
In order to facilitate consultation, ask patients to come prepared with an ID, if there are previous hyaluronic acid treatments, to avoid possible allergic reactions, it is advisable for the patient to submit to the consultation the label with the label of the previously injected solution (each approved injection product, shows 2 traceability labels, one for the doctor and one for the patient). What is the procedure for lip augmentation?
Treatment can be done during the first consultation if the patient wants to follow the hyaluronic acid injection procedure. The treatment lasts between 10 and 15 minutes and the effects are immediately visible (70%) even if the final result (100%) occurs after about two weeks (time required for hyaluronic acid to retain water and increase volume).
Following the injection, for several days, the lips are more swollen than the final effect, and within 2 weeks they will settle down. There is also the risk that bruising may appear on the lips on the lips, which can begin with daylight or lipstick on the next day. These normal healing reactions are usually present for 2-3 days and do not constitute an impediment to continuing normal daily activities in 90% of patients. There is also a category of patients more susceptible to capillary fragility with visible hematoma for 10-14 days but very rare cases. It is very important that every patient does not take anti-inflammatory pills, antibiotics, vitamins and supplements 3-7 days before treatment (not all vitamins affect but to avoid any risk of association it is ideal to stop them 3-5 days injection).
Considered a simple extreme workmanship, hyaluronic acid injection is the safest method of lip augmentation because the substance is a natural constituent of the skin.
How is the effect of premium hyaluronic acid?
Normally, the result lasts between 6 and 12 months on the first treatment, depending on: the injected premium product, the body of the patient with genetic inheritance, the metabolic rate, the hygiene of life (exposure to ultra violet, smoking, stress, hormonal disturbances, general diseases).
A HIGHLIGHTS: The effect of premium hyaluronic acid is cumulative over time meaning that it increases from one injection to another (from a minimum of 6 months on the first injection as the repeat can hold up to 2 years) and the lips as the solution becomes completely mature, more than 15% of the volume remains constant, so at some point there will be no need for repeated injections.

With the passage of time, besides the appearance of wrinkles, there is a change in the volumetric texture of the facial details: the cheeks appear, the cheeks diminish, the lips become invasive. At Aestethica Clinic, lip augmentation is done ONLY with anesthesia so pain is excluded. We offer the following methods of anesthesia:
Local anesthesia (as with the dentist): the gum is numbered with a spray and then the local anesthetic is injected; anesthesia takes about 30-50 minutes while the lips are completely numb.
Cream or spray: in very few cases, for patients with a higher degree of pain tolerance, this anesthesia is sufficient.
Preparing the patient
Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, or for people with autoimmune diseases or other diseases that affect the immune system.
A few days before and after treatment, antibiotic / anti-inflammatory pills (pain and cold pills and flu pills) are forbidden. This category includes: aspirin, aspenter, ibuprofen, nurofen, diclofenac, ketone, ketorol, etc …). Also, about a week prior to supplementing with vitamin C, E, ginkobiloba or other homeopathic combinations that may increase bleeding during surgery, should be stopped.
It is not forbidden to inject during menstruation but there is a possibility that the patient may have a slightly higher than average bleeding in this situation.
If the patient had a history of herpes infection (oral herpes), antiviral treatment should be taken for 5-7 days (most likely to start treatment 2-3 days before and continue for up to 5-7 days). This category includes all patients who have had oral herpes even once in the beef, although they have injected with hyaluronic acid and the herpes did not manifest. Please do particularly following the indicated treatment, otherwise you will undergo a non-atypical herpetic eruption (large in size, for example, as much as the upper lip).
Also, professional dental hygiene before treatment is imperative to prevent lip abscesses. The procedure of lip augmentation can not be achieved if there are major dental infections (abscesses, fistulas). After surgery, it is recommended that the patient use chlorhexidine-based disinfectant mouthwash, NO mouthwash with Fluorine for teeth (Colgate, Listerine, etc …), we are interested in disinfecting the cavity cavity, not preventing dental caries.
The lips do not touch and do not make up for several hours after the injection. It is recommended to apply a special cream and ice a few hours after the injection, you will receive additional information specific to your case in the cabinet.
It is strictly forbidden: sun exposure, sunshine, strong heat, exercise a few days after treatment.
The patient will need to help install the effect with a light massage for a few days.
It is very important to hydrate the patient with min. 2.5-3 liters of water per day during the settlement period (two weeks). Persons with capillary fragility (who swear quickly) should consider the healing period of at least one week to 10 days, during which normal activity can continue, but it is preferable not to have important events planned (weddings, baptisms, etc …).
Side effects
As long as patients comply with the pre and post injection guidelines, the risks are minimal. We strongly advise patients to meet hygiene standards both before and after:
In the first place: performing professional dental hygiene at the dentist as well as solving acute dental infections (to eliminate the risk of infection spreading to injected areas)
-from: The patient is not allowed to touch the places injected with dirty hands or rubbing for several hours, is not allowed to consume prohibited drugs or carry out forbidden activities.
The quality of the solution is extremely important, which is why we only inject Premium Hyaluronic Acid stored and injected in optimal conditions: products under warranty, stored at optimum temperature, injected under maximum hygienic conditions of the environment. Reactions are usually minor (2-5 days), but patients who do not strictly follow the doctor’s instructions may prolong significantly (7-14 days):
– edema (usually 2-3 days after)
– bruises (bruises that disappear in 5-7 days)
– haematomas (disappearing in 7-10 days)
– slight gingival discomfort instead of performing anesthetic puncture (2-3 days)
– slight lip discomfort during the massage
– Extremely rare cases of abscess / necrosis by compression or long-term healing superinfection (Aesthetica recommends strict adherence to pre / post injection guidelines to eliminate adverse reactions !!!)
– Allergic reaction with very high edema of one of the lips where it is necessary to have a rapid injectable antiallergic treatment not pills to avoid a worsening of the allergy. The mechanism of appearance is generally unknown, and may even occur at the tenth injection, just like the food allergies that have been manifested for many years in their favorite foods. Allergy is rapidly reversible if antiallergic treatment is performed in the shortest possible way. These reactions are very rare and usually present in people with major allergies, past anaphylactic shock.
These normal healing reactions are usually present for several days and do not constitute an impediment to continuing normal daily activities. There is no need to take your days away from work than for highly sensitive personal who recommend a single day of rest at home after the injection. Few days after injection, in rare cases, bruises are visible even if you apply a corectant or foundation over the skin.

What is the price of a lip augmentation?
